I offer In clinic and home visit treatments to best fit with your daily schedule.

In addition to my massage treatments, I also offer 1-2-1 Private Personal Training from my private gym in Colchester.



My name is Mike Silkstone. I'm a fully qualified and insured Sports and Remedial Soft Tissue Therapist in Colchester, Essex. I studied at the reknowned North London School of Sports Massage and gained my BTEC Level 5 qualification. I am also a Level 3 Personal Trainer.


While working as a PT, I realised I had a passion for helping my clients regain their fitness following injuries, which led me to become a sports massage therapist. I have helped clients address postural imbalances, decrease levels of discomfort, improve range of motion, recovery and performance.

My aim is to help you regain optimal function to live a healthier and more active life.

Mike was very professional and considerate when massaging me after Crossfit comps. He worked on areas we both felt needed releasing and applied the perfect amount of pressure.

I have been training with Mike for the past 2 years after he was recommended to me by a friend.

Mike keeps the training varied and interesting whilst focusing on my goals and working around my injuries.

I have been training regularly with Mike for over 4 years. He has devised and has continued to develop a varied programme with the emphasis on strength and mobility. We started as I was cracking towards my 60th birthday and i am now undoubtedly fitter and stronger than i was in my 40's. we have addressed and reversed a lot of postural issues that come with spending so long in front of a computer screen.

My main recreational sport is golf and Mike has also worked on specific areas that have enabled me to rotate my hips, chest and shoulder with vastly improved strength and flexibility.

During lockdown we have been able to keep our sessions going remotely which has been a real benefit. I look forward to getting back to some regular sports massage too which is an additional string Mike has added to his bow in the last two years.

Mike became my personal trainer weeks after my ankle fusion. He has helped me recuperate and has set a comfortable discipline of building strength and flexibility, not just around my ankle, but my whole body.


His program has taken my fitness level above where I was a year or so before the operation. It is a discipline I am comfortable with because I fear I simply wouldn't exercise sufficiently and properly on my own.


I am now able to walk, dance and even play a bit of football. He is also easy company, so the sessions are never a chore.
